Black Ferns Sevens Star Jorja Miller Re-commits to New Zealand Rugby Through 2029

Jorja Miller, the reigning World Rugby Sevens player of the year, has officially re-signed with New Zealand Rugby in a deal that extends her commitment to the national jersey through to the end of 2029. Miller, who hails from Timaru, expressed that she feels she is still just scraping the surface of her potential despite already achieving significant success on the world stage. To date, Miller has made 118 appearances and scored 111 tries for the Black Ferns Sevens, alongside seven Test caps for the Black Ferns XVs. She noted that her primary goal remains winning another Olympic gold medal and stated her desire to continue growing as both a leader and a teammate. Reflecting on her roots, Miller said she is proud to represent her home town of Timaru. She hopes her journey proves to young people in small towns that they do not need to be from a major city to reach the highest levels of professional sport.
