A Māori-owned cybersecurity company based in Tāmaki Makaurau has been awarded a multi-year contract to help protect critical public infrastructure, marking one of the largest government tech deals ever signed with a kaupapa Māori firm.
The contract covers threat monitoring, incident response, and workforce training across several government agencies. The firm's leadership says a portion of revenue will be reinvested into rangatahi pathways into the tech sector.
"We want the next generation of cyber defenders to look like Aotearoa," the CEO said.
